For many years, Brent Brinkmeier, founder of On The Brink Fitness and Certified Master Personal Trainer, worked in just about every facet of the fitness industry, including big box gyms, in-home personal training as well as online training sessions. He came to discover his passion was strictly for one-on-one training in a private studio setting leading him to open On The Brink Fitness in 2015. Brent started his fitness journey while attending Belmont University in Nashville TN. where he minored in sports medicine but soon realized that he didn't enjoy the injury treatment side of sports medicine very much. Shortly after graduating from Belmont University Brent got his first personal training certification in 2002.
Jonathan brings a deep understanding of human movement and evidence-based training methods to each client session at On The Brink Fitness. With a degree in Exercise Science from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a NASM-CPT certification, his approach is grounded in both academic knowledge and practical experience.
As a former competitive soccer player through high school and collegiate levels, Jonathan understands the dedication required to achieve physical goals and the importance of proper technique in preventing injury. His training methodology focuses on intentional movement patterns that build functional strength while minimizing risk.
Jonathan developed his client-centered approach to training during his internship at a studio gym centered on the philosophy that "Exercise is Medicine." Working with clients ranging from young athletes to seniors, he crafted individualized programs that delivered measurable results while emphasizing the mind-body connection.

Casey Lauritsen, owner/operator of On The Brink Fitness, LLC and Certified Functional Fitness Trainer, brings a unique approach to our private training studio. As the daughter of a Chiropractor and the founder of Therapeutic Hand Massage, LLC her background is rooted in anatomy and biomechanics, and has a deep understanding and insight into how the body works to support everyday movements. In 2006 Casey became an NCBTMB Licensed Massage Therapist and began her career working with the Tennessee Titans. Here she quickly realized her passion for sports therapy and continued on to become nationally certified in Sports and Rehabilitation Therapy and Therapeutic Training Techniques which gave her hands-on insight into the importance of body mechanics, injury prevention and holistic recovery care.
Casey's journey into personal training began after her own experience with multiple back surgeries and a spinal fusion that ultimately ended her massage career. What started as rehabilitation turned into a calling and she fell in love with the process of rebuilding, restoring and empowering movement that had been lost after years of continuous back and spinal issues.
Casey works with a wide range of clients and specializes Functional Strength and Conditioning, Corrective Exercises, Sports-Specific Functional Training, Post Rehabilitation Exercises, Mobility and Flexibility Training along with Core Stability and Injury Prevention. She uses a wide variety of techniques and tools in each session to ensure her clients are progressing to meet their goals. Angela brings over a decade of experience in the fitness industry, helping clients build strength, improve endurance, and achieve their health goals through customized, results-driven training. She is an accomplished athlete, having competed in bodybuilding competitions, completed four half marathons, and participated in mud runs and Spartan races, bringing both expertise and and passion to every training session. As a soon-to-be registered dietitian with a master's degree in Nutrition Science, Angela offers a unique, evidence-based approach that combines effective workout programming with practical nutrition guidance. Whether you are new to the gym, training for an event, or looking to take your fitness to the next level, Angela is committed to helping you feel strong, confident, and empowered every step of the way.
